Why I Opened Empathy Hearing Clinic
By Jennifer Candundo, Audiologist
Empathy Hearing Clinic was created from both professional expertise and personal experience.
I am an audiologist with over 13 years of experience providing hearing care for adults and children. I am also someone who lives with hearing loss myself — and I am a parent to three children with hearing loss. Hearing challenges are not just something I treat in a clinic; they are part of my everyday life.
That combination shapes how I care for every patient who walks through our doors — whether you’re an adult noticing changes in your hearing or a parent concerned about your child.
Hearing Care Looks Different at Every Stage of Life
Hearing needs change over time. Adults may notice difficulty hearing in meetings, restaurants, on the phone, or with family. Parents may notice speech delays, learning challenges, or listening fatigue in their children.
Both experiences can be frustrating, isolating, and emotionally overwhelming.
At Empathy Hearing Clinic, we understand that hearing loss affects more than just the ears — it affects communication, relationships, confidence, and quality of life.
That’s why our approach is never rushed, sales-driven, or one-size-fits-all.
A Thoughtful, Personalized Approach for Adults
For adults, hearing care is about more than a hearing test or a device.
It’s about:
Being truly listened to
Understanding your hearing results in clear, honest language
Finding hearing solutions that fit your lifestyle, work, and social needs
Feeling confident in your hearing aids — not pressured into them
As someone who wears hearing aids myself, I understand the adjustment process, the questions, and the emotions that come with them. I take the time to program and fine-tune hearing aids for real life — conversations, background noise, and the environments that matter most to you.
Our goal is long-term success, not quick fittings.
Gentle, Family-Centered Care for Children
For children, hearing care must be calm, patient, and developmentally appropriate.
We specialize in pediatric hearing assessments, auditory processing disorder (APD) evaluations and therapy, and ongoing hearing management for children of all ages. Testing is play-based, supportive, and always done at your child’s pace.
Parents are partners in the process. We take time to explain results, discuss next steps, and support families at home and at school.
A Clinic Built from Lived Experience
Empathy Hearing Clinic reflects the care I want for myself, my children, and my patients.
It is a space where adults feel comfortable addressing hearing concerns and where families feel safe bringing their children. Where questions are welcomed, concerns are validated, and care is tailored to real life.
You don’t need to struggle with hearing difficulties alone — at any age.
